Martyn Wood - Flower photographs

I am interested in the flowing lines and intense colours of these images and in particular the way the water droplets create ’lens’ within the photographs.

These photographs are an attempt (with my limited resources) to look at a very mundane subject in a different a way and to try and focus on a small part of these flowers in a manner that emphasises the complexity of the natural world.

I was very pleased when someone at the exhibition commented that:

‘From a distance they looked like photographs of stellar constellations’ a thought that had also occurred to me.
