images of the day Camber Sands, February 15th 2003 A bitterly cold but well-attended day at Camber Sands - challenging photography. Nigel's theme was 'Big' and there was certainly a great deal of discussion about the various ways of interpreting that brief. It was felt that the location had great potential, but perhaps the temperature could be improved. Notable event: Kim and Liz accompanying the police into the Ladies - they were looking for a runaway. As usual, Kim captured the moment on film ... 2002 Westerham, 14th December 2002
Misty. A very misty day. Visibility started off very bad, and got progressively worse. As always, we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, got very muddy, lost two of our number (never found, but no matter), and ended up in the pub. Alan organised a great day out for the eight attendees, and for the first time we were given a brief to work to: The Creative Landscape. The lucky winner was Nigel Jarvis: The F-Stop Café Highlight of the day: throughout the morning we had been aiming for a café that Alan knew about on the main road. It turned out that it was the contents of the boot of his car - sausage rolls, mince pies, samosas, coffee, and a wecome bottle of Schnapps provided by Michael to warm the cockles. The car-park cabaret was provided by some local enthusiasts dressed up as Robin Hood and assorted Merry Men! Follow the link below to see the photographic evidence.
Hastings, 2nd November 2002 Damp. A very damp day. But great fun, nonetheless, one of those days when everything except the weather was perfect, and there was much hilarity. Kim, Jane, Michael and Ian had a great time, and ended the day in the Gurkha's Kitchen in Oxted - no surprises there! Click here to see some images of the
day Whitstable, 8th June 2002 A very rewarding trip to a fascinating , busy seaside port. Definitely worth it! Linda, Gerard, Michael and Ian met at Whitstable and had a great day - plenty of photographic subjects on offer, seafood lunch, an alarmingly well-stocked remainders bookshop ... the day Dungeness, 21st April 2002 Yet another fair day! Unheard of for Dungeness. Nine of us met up at the café on a lovely sunny day - proving that Dungeness is not all monochrome! Firle Beacon Walk, 16th February 2002 Judging by numbers, the field trip was an outstanding success. The clear blue sky may have had something to do with it! 35 people came along for the walk, which included a very pleasant lunch at the Ram Inn followed by the climb back up the Down. It is certainly possible that some serious photography was undertaken. If this is so, we will publish the evidence in good time. Meanwhile ... Click here to see some images of the day: |
